Job Function:


  • Reviews and assess the coverage and scope of the Internal Audit, reviews the risk assessment reports developed by Internal Audit (IA) service providers, prepares IA plans based on risk assessment reports and obtains management approval.


  • Initiates audit planning and execution as per approved IA plan.


  • Follows-up on outstanding IA observations and submits status report periodically to management.


  • Monitors and implements the risk management plan adopted by the Company, builds a ‘risk-aware’ culture within the Company by conducting training workshops about Risk Management and Business Continuity, annually reviews the Company's Risk Registers and submits a status report to management.


  • Provides oversight on emerging and significant risk exposures and control issues, including fraud risks and governance issues.


  • Prepares the business continuity plans for the key process areas of the Company. Ensures that the Business continuity plans are updated in line with significant changes in Company operations, personnel, process technology and provided feedback from an exercise, incident, or internal audit.



About the Job:


  • Co-ordinates with the departments, the Internal Audit team and the IA service provider to develop a three-year risk assessment report, IA plan and obtain the approval from the management.


  • Administers the implementation of the IA plan including quarterly reporting of the status of the Internal Audits as against the plan.


  • Reviews the draft IA reports for compliance with IA Manual and distributes the reports to the Department Managers / supervisors for comments. Distributes the final reports to the Department Manager and the management.


  • Follows-up on outstanding observations and submits the status report to the management.


  •  Annually reviews and updates Company's Risk Register/Risk cards in discussion with the Risk owners and submits a status report to the management for approval.


  •  Updates and maintains controlled procedures related to internal audits, risk management and business continuity.


  •  Builds a “risk-aware” culture within the Company by conducting awareness workshops.


  •  Carries out Business Continuity tests in co-ordination with other departments.


  • Carries out any other duties that may be assigned by employee’s supervisors.


  • Carries out duties and responsibilities in compliance with the requirements of the Company’s QMS systems.



About the Candidate:


  • Bahraini (Nationality).


  • Proficient in speaking and writing Arabic and English.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.


  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years’ experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management and Business Continuity in manufacturing organizations/oil & gas.


  • Thorough understanding of enterprise risk management, business continuity and internal audit principles and their application in manufacturing/oil & gas industries.


  • Professional certification is preferred in the subject of risk management, business continuity or internal audit.


  • Ability to read and comprehend policies, and procedures in English.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Possess a valid driving license.
